Dazzlin's passion for hair started before she was born, as her mother was a stylist in college during the 90s. Her original name was going to be Breanna, but her cousin got the name first. Dazzlin's mother's co-worker suggested the name Dazzlin for her own daughter but went with Jasmine instead, so the name dazzlin' was born.
Dazzlin has had a passion for hair since she was young. She started playing with bows and combs as a baby and learned how to plait at just 4 years old from her Big Mama. She even tried to plait anything with 3 loose strands, including rugs and blankets. As she got older, she started doing her sister's hair for school and eventually learned how to braid with extensions. Dazzlin continues to perfect her craft each year.
She kept her talents hidden from the public until 2012 when she decided to offer her services to others with the encouragement of her parents. She started by braiding hair for family and close friends and eventually expanded to servicing strangers, gradually building her clientele. the start of Hair.by.dazz.
Dazzlin started taking her hair styling craft seriously while living in Valdosta, GA, and Louisiana. She changed her business name to Dazzlin Stylez in 2017 and made hair her full-time career. After moving back to GA in 2018 and working 2 short months in customer service, she decided to pursue hair styling full-time at Crown Hair Studios in Byron, GA. She later enrolled in cosmetology school at Miller-Motte Tech College in the fall of 2019, but unfortunately, was dropped from the program four months before completion due to the pandemic.
Now, Dazzlin had previously attended cosmetology school at Wiregrass Technical College in Valdosta, GA after realizing that Early Childhood education wasn't the direction she wanted to take. She then moved to Leesville, LA in 2016 and continued to build her brand for two years, before eventually moving back to Macon, GA in 2018. In 2020, during the pandemic, she opened up her own salon, Dazzlin Style Salon and Suites, after being dropped from Miller-Motte. She has since expanded her first location and relocated to Atlanta, GA where she completed cosmetology school at Empire Beauty School, becoming a Master cosmetologist and building her clientele in both locations.
